He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lindley and Alvina Lindley; his stepmother Pearl Lindley; his wife Sharon Lindley; his uncle Robert Long; his siblings, Clifton Lindley (Marilyn) and Helen Hoyt (Chuck); his sister-in-law Judith Lindley; and his grandson Jacob Arter.

He is survived by: his children, April Blankenship (Dan), Suzanne Arter (James), David Lindley (Shawna) and Jan Koonce (Michael); his grandchildren, Crystal Blankenship (Matthew), Haley Robinson (Christopher), Brittany Arter, Dalten, Caleb, Adrea and Aaron Lindley; his great grandchildren, Jase and Sloane Blankenship; and his brother Ronald Lindley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Pocahontas Little League or the American Legion Post 1104 in Pocahontas, IL.
