He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd and Florence Lawson (Maddox); his wife Marie Melvin (Melvin); his sister Virginia Wheeler; and his great grandchild Jaide Lawson.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Lawson (Linda) of Springfield, James Lawson (Gina) of Humble and Joyce Lawson of Crown Point, Indiana; and his sister Norma Starbuck of Lewistown, Illinois.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
