She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Rhoades and Pearl Mitchell Rhoades; and her son Jay Whitford. She is survived by: her spouse Gene Whitford; her daughter Kathy Chenoweth (Darrell) of Macomb, IL; her grandchildren, Matthew Chenoweth of Macomb, IL and Jennifer Chenoweth (Tristen Protsman) of Macomb, IL; and her siblings, Lois Kuchling of Quincy, IL, Bernice Landrus of Las Vegas, NV and Jim Rhodes of Missouri. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
