It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William C. Handy of Pleasant Plains, Illinois, born in Waverly, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Handy and Florence Lea Miller Handy. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Kay Turner; his son Steven Handy (Amanda) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Kelsey and Keagan; his son Kevin Handy (Mari) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Peyton, Lydia and Greg Handy (Susan) of Sherman; his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Ricky, Gabriella, Jensyn, Sawyer, Blakely and Lorraine; and his siblings, James of Ashland, Robert Handy of Ashland, Donna Leverton of Milton, Cheryl Bliesner of Stonington, Gerry Handy of Colona and Carla Humphress (John) of Pleasant Plains. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.
