He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Canfield and Annabelle Canfield (McGuire); his wife Shirley Canfield; his children, Robert "Bobby" Canfield and Mary Ostermeier; and his great grandchild Caleb Ostermeier.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Henry Long (Tammy) and Fritz Long (Donna). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
