With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dora Willis Ames of Pleasant Plains, Illinois, who passed away on December 30, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walker Cowan and Dorothy Cowan (Burton); her former spouse Claude Willis; and her husband Charles Ames. She is survived by: her children, Judy Niemeier (James) of Tallula, Patsy Lambert (Dwight) of Pleasant Plains and Danny Willis (Diana) of Pleasant Plains; her stepson Jon Ames (Sharon) of Georgia; and her grandchildren, James D. Niemeier, Douglas Niemeier, Cameron Lambert, Kimberly Deters, Amandah Skelton and Rachael Nossem. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; five brothers and one sister.
