She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Cheney and Mary Cheney (Lindholm); and her siblings, Charles Lindholm (Buzz), James Lindholm (Wig) and Nancy Bradley.

She is survived by: her sons, James Kensel (Cara) and Robert Kensel; her grandchildren, Cooper Kensel, Connor Kensel and Kensi Kensel; and her sister Joanne Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
