He was predeceased by: his parents, Jaime Benzon and Lourdes Benzon; and his brothers, Jonn (Adelina) and Avelino Benzon (Zenida). He is survived by: his wife Merlita Benzon; his children, Merwena Hoth (Ray) and Wes Benzon (Melissa); his grandchildren, Destiny, Anastasia, Alexandra, Jimmy, Lia, Brielle and Caden; and his siblings, Antonio Benzon (Nemesia), Natividad Saludez (Rudolfo), Albert Benzon (Teresita) and Esperanza Bugtong (Antonio). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home (15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church (15629 Illinois Rte 59, Plainfield, IL 60544).
