He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara "Bobbie"; his children, Patrick Wheeler (Jennie) and Mollie Gertz (Adam); his mother Florence "Pat" Wheeler; his siblings, Murley J. Wheeler, III (Ann), Robert K. Wheeler, Maureen Wheeler, Pat Mander (late James), Kathleen Hammack (Bob), Paul Wheeler, Eileen Miller (Mike) and Sheila Forneris (Rich); his father Murley J. Wheeler, Jr.; and also Betsy Stoughton (Kent). He was also cherished by his wife, his children and his siblings.
