Telmer Groset Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Telmer Groset (Plainfield, Illinois), who passed away on January 8, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Inga Groset and John Pedersen Groset; his sister Agnes Becker (late Dolph); and his siblings-in-law, June Collins (late Frank) and Beverly Abbott.
He is survived by: his spouse LaVerne; his children, Douglas Groset (Maryann), Laurel Callis (Michael) and John Groset (Mary); his grandchildren, Phillip Ernst (Kathleen), Lisa Calusinski (Jeff), Peter Groset (Jaime), Erik Groset (Tiffany), Kristine Duehl (Adrian), April Shoemaker (Aaron), Kristine Renn (Alex), Tommy Willard (Karalyn), Catie Bowers (Michael) and Grant Groset; and his great grandchildren, Philip, Amelia Ernst, Shane Jones, Lucas, Olivia Calusinski, Joey, Leo, Belle Duehl, Landon Shoemaker, Walker Renn, Eloise, Thomas Willard, Ryleigh and Anthony Bowers.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anderson Memorial (21131 W Renwick Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Immaculate Church (15629 Illinois Rte 59, Plainfield, IL 60544).
