Shirley left this world on February 13, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ramsey and Edna Arbeiter Ramsey; her husband James Raymond Hutchings; her daughter Donna Louise DeMoss; and her brother John William Ramsey.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Olsen (Clayton), Mary Joslyn Gettys (Michael), Catherine Lorang and Tom Hutchings; her sister Ginny Ramsey Griffith; and her nieces and nephews, Carol Ramsey, Kathleen Ramsey Bumblis, Jack Ramsey, Michael Ramsey and Joel Griffith. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home (15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Donations in Shirley's memory can be made to the American Legion in Plainfield.
