He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Catherine Jane Melohn; his son Robert "Robbie" John Melohn Jr.; and his stepson Sam Penkala. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lee Melohn; his daughters, Dawn Davis (Matt) and Kimberly Jakubowski (Tom); his stepson Leo Penkala (Teri); his grandchildren, Nikki, Robbie, Jenna, Emalyn, Jason, Kacy, Megan and Sean; his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Stella, Walter and Aubrie; and his sister Margie Bivens.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2164.
