It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Joseph Chapas (Plainfield, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 27, 2019, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Chapas and Mary Chapas; and his brothers, Stanley Chapas and Edward Chapas. He is survived by: his wife Kathie Chapas; his children, Richard Chapas (Dorothy), Brian Chapas (Tammy), Mark Chapas (Angela) and Jennifer Stasi (Dominick); his grandchildren, Evan, John, Brandon, Cierra, Mark, Jr., Alexander Chapas, Nicholas and Nina Stasi; and his niece Carolyn Chapas. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
