She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence "Bogie" of Iowa; her parents, Opha Mathias and Vera Mathias; and her siblings, Mary Hull (Larry), Cecil (Norma), Mearl (Helen), Wayne and Harry Mathias.

She is survived by: her children, Lori Peterson (Dave), Diana Paulsen, Craig (Jodie), Brad and Dirk Paulsen (Jane). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She often would make food for the church donations and enjoyed cooking.
