With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lionel Chapa Jr. of Plainfield, Illinois, born in Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on September 27, 2021 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Lionel Chapa; and his nephew Jorge Badillo, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Antonia Chapa of Plainfield; his fiancée Dawn Bulin; his siblings, Doris Nunez of Joliet, Maria Elena Hidalgo (Charlie) of Naperville, Felix Chapa (Jacki) of Clearwater, KS and Rafael Renteria (Micah) of Ottawa, IL; his nieces and nephews, Julian Nunez (Yvette), Jennifer Lewis (Christopher), Alexandra Nunez (Rene Munzon), Carlos Hidalgo, Jr., Fabian Badillo, Giovanna Hidalgo, Nicole Moore (Jesse) and Bryce F. Chapa (Shaylee); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Chris Lewis (Megan), Noelani Licon (Gerardo), Vivianna Munzon, Joshua Nunez, Ariana Munzon, Isabella Munzon, Daniella Munzon, Josephine Nunez, Noah Nunez and Fivel Badillo; and his close friends, Pedro Lopez, Chuckie Misicka, Alfredo Sanchez and Lindel Creed. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
