He is survived by: his wife Carol (Legan); his sons, Brian Gjerde (Alicia) of Wheaton, Steve Gjerde (Tiffany Nieto) of Naperville and Mike Gjerde (Tara) of Plainfield; his grandchildren, Zachary, Evan, Owen Gjerde, Matthew, Payton, Delylah Gjerde, Michael, Anthony and Sophia Gjerde; and his brother Craig Gjerde (Amy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
