She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Belford; her father Casimir Lewandowski (Stella); her sister Marilyn Zoetvelt; and her daughter Laura Donnelly. She is survived by: her grandsons, Jason Yunker (Cassidy), Matthew Muthart (Lauren) and Bradley Muthart (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Morgan, Mason, Hailey, Addison, Mia and Ryan; and her daughters, Sharon Yunker and Barbara Muthart (Dale).

Joan loved to crochet and donated her creations to several groups.
