He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael D. Mitrisin and Marilyn Mitrisin; his siblings, Michael G. Mitrisin (late Vickie) and Bonita Elliff; and his niece Katie Mitrisin.
He is survived by: his wife Laura of Plainfield; his brother Gregory Mitrisin (late Charlotte) of Moline; his brothers-in-law, Arne Lindberg (Joyce) of Firestone, CO and Mark Lindberg (Amanda) of Lafayette, IN; his nieces and nephews, Nicholas Lindberg (Rachel) of Santa Clara, CA, Jade Lindberg of Lafayette, IN, James Elliff of Orland, FL, Jason Elliff (Em) of Easton, Isle of Portland, England, Joseph Elliff (Terri) of East Moline, Michael Mitrisin (Liz) of Pekin, Amy Rizzolo (Kurt) of Moline and Alexandria Mitrisin of Moline; his great-niece Olivia; and his close friend Randy Lambert.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (2500 Arbeiter Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
