He is survived by: his wife Helen Kapla; his sons, James Kapla, Jr. and William Kapla; his grandchildren, Joey, Katherine, Alexa, Alaina, Raquel and Tristan; and his siblings, Richard, Donald, Ellen "Cookie" Miller and Johanna "Queenie".
