He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Geneva Smith (Casey); his parents, Leland Smith and Maxie Smith; his siblings, Shirley Fisher (Howard), Billy Joe Smith (late Maggie Ann), Lon Smith (late Earnestine) and Tommy Smith; his siblings-in-law, Robert Casey (late Genevieve), Rosa Arvin (late Green), Clarence Casey (Brenda), Minnie Wright (late Hank) and Ben Jr. Casey (Terri); his close friend Ralph Muncy (Peggy); and also Pam.
He is survived by: his sons, Jack Jr. Smith (Jen) and Jim Smith (Anna); his grandchildren, Kyle Smith, Abby Smith, Maddie Janis, Matthew Smith, Tori Smith and Nathan Smith; his sisters, Betty Fairchild (Lon), Kathy Travis (late Billy) and Linda Gail Smith; his brother-in-law James Casey (Mary Lou); and also, Mike (Rosa) and Jason (Veronica). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear close friends.
