We bid farewell to Gerald Mastro of Naperville, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 19, 2025 at the age of 82. Gerald touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Mastro and Rose Mastro; his brother Jack Mastro (late Marilyn); and his brother-in-law Allen Block (late Sue). He is survived by: his wife Frances V. "Fran" Mastro; his children, Michele Strang (Mike) of Plainfield, Sandy Richards of Plainfield, Nick Mastro (Kimberly) of Oswego, IL and Lori Paxson (Doug) of Park Ridge, IL; his grandchildren, Michael Strang (Mary), Nicole Wachs (Joe), Courtney Strang, Jessica Fernandez (Christopher), Ryan, Jamie Mastro, Devin, Demi and Hailey Paxson; and his sister-in-law Charlotte Keller (Tom).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home (44 S Mill St, Naperville, IL 60540). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Community (2003 Hassert Blvd, Naperville, IL 60564). The military honors will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
