He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Coope and Gladys Coope; his sister Barbara Murin; his former wife Irene Alexander; his wife MaryAnn O'Brien; and his granddaughter Megan Bugg.
He is survived by: his significant other Judith Coope; his children, Janet Epstein (Mark), Deborah Bugg (Kent), Jeffrey Engel (Jerilyn), Stephen Engel (Monica) and Timothy Engel (Donna); and his granddaughters, Mackenzie and Carly. He is also survived by nine step-grandchildren.
