She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Hoekstra; and her parents, Egbert Veld and Ruth Veld. She is survived by: her children, Richard Hoekstra, Rev. Robert Hoekstra (Heidi), Sandra Tripp (Kraig), Debra Bult (Steve) and Jana Shear (Steve); and her sister Audrey Rietveld (Phil).
