It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred A. Darnell of Plainfield, Illinois, born in Maryville, Tennessee, who passed away on August 5, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Fred Darnell; and his parents-in-law, Russell and Violet Scent. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his son Lieutenant Commander Ryan Pommier (Nam Phuong); his mother Martha Darnell; his brothers, Jeff (Teresa) and Larry Darnell (Jennifer); and his nieces, Jill, Jennifer, Tiffany, Amanda, Eleanor and Scent. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends.
