He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta G. Countryman; his children, Eleanor Yedinak (late Bernard) and Arthur Earl Countryman (late Minnie); his grandson Michael Papesh (Molly); his parents, Charles Lee and Emma Countryman; and his siblings, Leona "Onie" Fraenckel (late Victor), Clara Siddon (late Robert), Gertrude Jungles (late Ralph), Rhoda Weber (late John), Charles "Chuck" Countryman (late Ellen) and Lester Countryman (late Gina).

He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Papesh (late Edward) of Joliet, IL and Georgia Donisch (late Richard) of Plainfield; and his grandchildren, Daniel Pehlke (Sandy), Dale Pehlke (Lenette), Douglass Pehlke (Lee), David Papesh (Amy), Brian Papesh (Debbie), Art Countryman (Joanne), Gary Countryman (Robin), Terry Countryman (Debbie), Pamela Larkey and Charles Donisch (Dawn).
