We are sad to announce that on April 1, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Allen Sather of Plainfield, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigurd Sather and Catherine Sather (Madden); and his brothers, Raymond, Warren and Norbert Sather.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Sather (Kalfas) of Plainfield; his children, Michael Sather (Carol), Julie Trumbo (Allen), Patricia Hartell (Christopher) and Susan Sorg (Roger); and his grandsons, Bryan Sather (Audrey), Brett Sather (Kathleen), Bradley Sather (Stephanie) and Ryan Sorg (Mandie). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All family and friends are invited to meet on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Avenue, Joliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a. m. Facemasks are required and social distancing will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Wounded Warriors Project, Plainfield Lions Club or American Legion would be appreciated.
