He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Kaleta (Lithuanian) and Emma Kaleta (Mick); his sister Marlene Mirin; and his brother-in-law Stanley Mirin. He is survived by: his wife Sandra (Salter); his children, David Kaleta (Dawn), Wendy Gattone (Michael) and Elizabeth Kaleta; his grandchildren, Jacob Skrobin (Emily Gray), Rachel Stelmach (Daniel), Miranda Gattone (Frankie Wendling), Mikayla Gattone and Emily Gattone; and his great grandchild Georgia Stelmach. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home (15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (600 Brook Forest Ave, Shorewood, IL 60404).
