She was predeceased by: her parents, W. A. Benz (Bert) and Dosia Angelo Benz; her husband Leo M. Grimes of Nebo; her son Calvin Grimes; and her sisters, Elozia Schimsa and Veva Byrd.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Dawdy (David) of Jacksonville, IL, Wava Riley (Jim) of Vonore, TN and Zona Taylor (Stephen) of Mobile, AL; her daughter-in-law Debralou Grimes of Nebo, IL; and her siblings, Amelia Hamilton (Floyd) and William A. Benz (Melanie) of Jefferson City, MO. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
