He was predeceased by: his parent Lena Evans; his grandparents, Jim and Retha Evans; and his parents-in-law, Helen and Vinton 'Buster Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Evans; his sons, Bryan Evans of Pittsfield, IL, Jeremy Evans (Jennifer Burns) of Carbondale, IL and Justin Evans (Megan) of Pittsfield, IL; his grandchildren, Connor Evans, Gracie Evans and Ryder Evans; his siblings, Charles 'Chuck' Pressey (Denise) of Kansas, Bill Brassfield (Chris) of Quincy, IL, Mike Brassfield (Carrie Ann Dyel) of Quincy, IL, Pam Boden (Jerry) of Quincy, IL and Peggy Brassfield (Scotty) of Quincy, IL; his extended family Jodi Damon (Mason); his cousins, Randy Ford, Tina Brown, Cindy Jordan, Mark Ford, Debbie Rigor and Steve Hoots; his sisters-in-law, Karen O'Connor of Moore, OK and Michelle Moore (Gus Stewart) of St. Charles, MO; and also, Adi Damon, Camden Damon and Bennett Damon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to be made to Pittsfield American Legion Post #152 Honor Guard or Independence Christian Church.
