With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Gene Carter of Pittsfield, Illinois, who passed away on July 15, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Stella Howell Carter; his former wife Carol Springer; his father George Carter; his brothers, George Lee Carter, Harold Carter and Billy Mike Carter; his son-in-law Rod Webel; and his sister-in-law Linda Springer.
He is survived by: his brother Hershel; his wife Virginia Halpin; his children, Kirk Carter (Heather) of Bowling Green, MO and Stacy Reynolds (Mark) of Pooler, GA; his grandchildren, Austin Carter (Julie) of Norfolk, VA, Bailey Carter of Tioga, TX, Wilson Webel of Pooler, GA and Dusty Webel of Pooler, GA; his great grandchildren, Kirklynn Carter and Colton Carter; and his siblings, Herschel Carter (Jenny) and Helen Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
