With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn C. Smith of Pittsfield, Illinois, born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, who passed away on November 5, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Anderson and Kathryn Prestinari Craig; her former husband Donald Sperry; her husband Leon Smith; her brother Richard Craig; and her daughter-in-law Zona Sperry.
She is survived by: her sons, Craig Sperry (Connie) of Rushville, IL, David Sperry (Beth) of Maryville, IL and Thomas Sperry (April Stewart) of South Roxana, IL; her stepchildren, Phillip Smith (Vera) of Gonzales, LA and Janet Smith of San Francisco, CA; her grandchildren, Jack Sperry (Hannah Drowns), Jason Sperry (Sydney), Cory Sperry (Lexi Barendregt) and Hope Stewart-Sperry; her stepgrandchildren, Candice O'Meara, Brenden Ankrom, Cassie Ward, Jonathan Smith (Kathleen) and Matthew Smith; her great grandchildren, Josephine Sperry, Landon O'Meara and Clarie O'Meara; and her nieces, Cathy Schultz (Art), Penny Berlin (Greg), Dawn Lum (Carl) and Robin Perez (Steve).
Memorials are suggested to be made to Crescent Heights Cemetery or Pike County Animal Shelter.
