He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Akers and Ethel Scott Akers; his children, Roger Akers (Peggy) and Debra Dunn (John); his grandchildren, Christopher Akers (Cory), Kelli Wilson (Chris), Jennifer Tarmann (Benjamin), Carrie Sergio (Chris), Jill Schroeder (Chase) and Jay Dunn; his parents-in-law, Oren and Lucille Smith; and his brother-in-law Keith Smith.
