He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas Sr. and Mary Williams Dawson; his wife Linda Mae Brummer; and his sister Reba Dawson Stark. He is survived by: his daughters, Alisha McClelland (Sean) of Chesapeake, VA, Dana Herring (Dustin) of Quincy and Carol Dawson of O'Fallon, MO; his grandchildren, Emily, Kyle, John McClelland, Adrian, Joshua, Taylor, Hudson Herring, Lisa-Ann, Katelyn Catterson, Erica, James Rice and Dennis Dawson; and his brother John Dawson (Janet) of Quincy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
