He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Scranton; his children, Walter R.'Wally' Scranton (Sheoni) of Griggsville, Gordon'Tim' Scranton (Paula) of Griggsville and Lori Sue Sibley (Shane) of Detroit; his grandchildren, Kennard Scranton, Correy Scranton (Lora), Shawn Scranton (Ashley), Ashley Hannant (Kendal), Sam Scranton, Cory Allen (Amber), Staci Smith (Tyler), Stephanie Norris (Marc), Destiny Smith (Cody Lahr), Jack Sibley (Brianna Ruble), Kristen Sibley, Sarah Pennock (Andy) and Shane, Jr. Battles (Michael); and his siblings, Cecil Scranton, Glyn Scranton, Dorothy Henson, Janet Aupplin and Mary Ann Charlton. He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Niebur Funeral Home (530 W Adams St, Pittsfield, IL 62363). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to be made to Blue River Cemetery.
