Dempsey of Pittsfield, Illinois, born in Mendon, Illinois, who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Mary S. Tenvorde Dittmer; her husband Robert F. Dempsey; her father John Dittmer; her grandsons, John Michael Dempsey and Michael Paul Dempsey; and her siblings, Junior Dittmer, Harvey Dittmer, Robert Dittmer, Donald Dittmer and Dorothy Shilt.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Dempsey (Denise) of Springfield, IL, Jeffrey Dempsey (Sally) of Hoover, AL, Jane Fralicx (Rodney) of St. Louis, MO, Marti Jo Peasley (Daniel) of Stronghurst, IL and Annie Baker (Mike) of Jacksonville, IL; her grandchildren, Katie Brendel (Mike) of St. Louis, MO, Abigail Watts (Jack) of Rogersville, MO, Lesley Dillard (Joe) of Chapin, IL, Maranda Hymes (Rich) of Springfield, IL, Kelsey Weitzel (Nick) of Boonville, MO, Joey Peasley of Melbourne, FL, Andrea Henze (Braden) of Highland, IL, Laura Heizer (Steven), John Dempsey of Highland, IL, Jennifer Williams (Chris) of Chandlerville, IL and Mike Blair of Springfield, IL; and her sister Rosemary Ashbaker of O'Fallon, IL. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
