We are sad to announce that on August 12, 2021, at the age of 87, David L. Sappington of Pittsfield, Illinois, born in Bluffs, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester L. Sappington and Bernice A. E. Mueller Sappington; his siblings, Russell Sappington, Catherine Sontag and Connie Baker; his stepdaughter Shirley Pleus Ator; and his grandson Geoff Thomason.
He is survived by: his former wife Ruby Wainman; his wife Elaisa Consuelo Espinoza (Connie); his children, Vicki Prather (Jeff) of Troy, MO, Michael Sappington (Jacki Pellinghelli) of Nebo, IL and Chris Spohr (Mike) of Fowler, IL; his grandchildren, Tyler Prather, Trent Prather, Keenan Sappington (Kelsi), Cole Smith, Carly Labby (Traye) and Collin Smith; his stepchildren, Stella Buck (Dave), Jay Pleus (Jenifer), Gary Pleus (Sherry), Jackie Miller, Jeanice Thomason, Roger Pleus and Drake Pleus; and his stepgrandchildren, Clint, Patrick, Heidi, Holly, Chris, Elisha, Lauren, Jonathon, Trevor and Carson. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
