He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hoover and Helen Phillips Hoover; and his siblings, Johnnie Bill, Jimmy Hoover, Sue Vetter and Ann Hodgson.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Hoover of Milton; his sons, Rich Hoover (Dee) of Pearl, IL and Brian Hoover (Julie) of Pittsfield, IL; his grandchildren, Kayla Miller (Trevor), Jarrett Hoover (Layne Gregory), Reed Hoover, Nate Hoover and Kate Hoover; his great grandchild Gemma Miller; and his brother Phil L. Hoover (Becky) of Pittsfield, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to be made to the Milton Christian Church, Smith Cemetery or the Jean Hoover Trap, Neuter, and Release fund, a program through the Pike County Animal Shelter.
