It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Connie L. Sappington of Pittsfield, Illinois, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymundo Espinoza and Anefelia Martinez Espinoza; her husband David Sappington; her daughter Shirley Ator; and her grandson Geoff Thomason.

She is survived by: her children, Stella Buck (Dave), Jay Pleus (Jenifer), Gary Pleus (Sherry), Roger Pleus, Janeice Thomason, Jackie Miller and Drake Pleus; her grandchildren, Clint, Patrick, Heidi, Holly, Chris, Elisha, Lauren, Jonathon, Trevor and Carson; her stepchildren, Vicki Prather (Jeff), Michael Sappington and Chris Spohr (Mike); and her pets, Daisy and Tara'Lulu'. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

Memorials are suggested to be made to Pittsfield Church of the Nazarene or Pike County Animal Shelter.
