She was predeceased by: her parents, Antone Mickelson and Lillian Mickelson (Rivett); her husband Joseph Henry Mathis, Sr.; her sons, Christopher and Andrew Mathis; and her brother Lenard Mickelson.
She is survived by: her son Joseph H. Mathis, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Cheryl of Pittsburg, IL; her granddaughter Crystal Jo Finney (David Reynolds); her great grandchildren, Tasha Pichardo (Eric) of New Haven, CT, Lizette Vazquez, Amina Pichardo and Eric Pichardo Jr. of New Haven, CT; her siblings, Andrew "Mick" (Gerri Mickelson), Stanley (Paula Mickelson), Tony and Debbie; and her siblings-in-law, Ray Jamieson of Sterling, IL and Debbie Mickelson. She is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
