He was predeceased by: his parents, Clydell Chamness and Phyllis Chamness (Marks); his wife Sue Chamness; his sons, Shawn Michael Norman and Timothy Michael Chamness; and his sister-in-law Martha Jennifer Chamness.
He is survived by: his brothers, George Stephen Chamness of Johnston City, Jeffrey Paul Chamness of Marion and Gregory Todd Chamness (Michelle) of Crab Orchard; his granddaughter Autumn Faith Norman; and his nieces and nephews, Paul Allen Chamness of Creal Springs, Jason Paul Chamness (Angela) of Silverdale Washington, Janel Lea Chamness of Johnston City, Kasie Korin Ham (Ian) of Marion and Jessica Nicole Hill of Crab Orchard.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blue Funeral Home -Marion (1704 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests with gratitude that memorial donations be directed to the Shriner's Road Runner Program.
