He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayde Burnquist and Hazel Burnquist (Wilcox); and his siblings, Clyde, Ronald, Earl and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Suzan; his children, Yvonne Sorby (Abba), Bobbi Burnquist and Kevin Burnquist (Renee); his grandchildren, Billy (Brianna), Kaitlyn, Olivia, Cory, Baily, C. J. (Alex), Josh and Jake; and his great grandchild Sophie.
