It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald A. Giancaterino of Pingree Grove, Illinois, born in Lackawanna, New York, who passed away on August 1, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Giancaterino and Katherine Giancaterino; and his grandchild Gunner James. He is survived by: his wife Helen Halstead; his children, Michelle Giancaterino, Jason Giancaterino, Steven Giancaterino (Domenica), Kathryn Harris (James), Sarah Axelson (Tobin) and Craig Giancaterino (Meghan); his grandchildren, Alex, Emma, Hayley, Ryan, Abigail, Tipper, Giulia, Koen, Trent, Jacob and Donald James; and his sister Donna Lauffer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in his name.
