It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Keene (Pinckneyville, Illinois), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on January 4, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Fredrick Sr. and Carrie Shack (Sickler); her husband Carl W. Miller; her daughter Tami Rude; and her siblings, Fred Jr, Ed Shack and Betty Buser.
She is survived by : her children, Carl "Corky" Miller, Jr. of Pinckneyville, IL, Rick Miller (Beverly) of Arcadia, FL, Vicki Cross (Vernon) of Ava, IL and Cindy Higgerson of Pinckneyville, IL; her sister Louise Strauch of Houston, TX; and her grandchildren, Bryan Higgerson (Paula), Samantha Meadows (Sam), Tessa Witt (Donnie), Derek Cross (Shelley), Brianne Burns (Pete), Ricky Miller, Adrian Smith, Jacob Smith (Cassy) and Troy Smith (Tristian). She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.
