He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Tanner and Virginia "Erma" Tanner (Offerman); and his son-in-law Pete Bednarz. He is survived by: his wife Doris Tanner of Pinckneyville, IL; his children, Carole Bednarz of Nashville, IL and Steven Tanner (Dawn) of Pinckneyville, IL; his brother Bob Tanner of Sesser, IL; his grandchildren, Matthew Bednarz (Melissa) of Troy, IL, Travis Bednarz of Pinckneyville, IL, Dustin Tanner of Pinckneyville, IL and Skye Tanner of Pinckneyville, IL; his great grandchildren, Abbigail Bednarz and Layla Bednarz; and his close friend Ollie.
