It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelson Lawrence Giacomo of Pinckneyville, Illinois, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Giacomo and Pearl Giacomo (Carter); his wife Harriet Ann Golliher; and his siblings, Joseph Giacomo, John Giacomo, Wilma Wright, Grace Hubler, Zelma Miller, Doreen Lucker and Virginia Higgerson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joyce Campbell (Pat) of Pinckneyville, IL, Peggy Sims (David) of Pinckneyville, IL, Susan Endres of DuQuoin, IL and Jane Folden of Pinckneyville, IL; and his grandchildren, Eric Campbell (Vanessa), Kelly Epplin (Kent), Richel Biby (Kevin), Jana Valentine (Jason), Cole Endres, Nick Endres (Angie), Justin Folden and Jill Nehrkorn (Dustin). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, American Heart Association, or Mueller Hill Cemetery Association.
