He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Wheeler and Opal Wheeler (Durham); his wife Wanda Fricke; and his sisters, Shirley Gitcho and Ruth Ann Wheeler.

He is survived by : his children, Albert Wheeler (Alexandria) of Brazil, Rick Wheeler of Pinckneyville, IL and Edith Sanchez (Thomas) of Alamogordo, NM; and his grandchildren, Charity Bathon (Greg), Opal McLaughlin, Thomas Sanchez Jr., Brenda Wheeler and Kevin Wheeler. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab Activity Fund.
