He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Rice and Gladys Rice (Cowley); his former wife Carol; and his siblings, Nelson Rice, Carl Rice, Martha Melvin, Alta Elder, Wilma Cope, Christina Keller and Mildred Vance.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Rice (Lacy) of Pinckneyville, IL; his children, Lori Kelley (Matt) of Italy, Michael Rice (Lisa) of DuQuoin, IL, Eli Saddler (Misty) of Spain, Pernie Harris of Swanwick, IL, Jerry Lacy (Tina) of Pinckneyville, IL, Missy Weber (Eric) of Sparta, IL and Brent Lacy (Elayna) of Rockville, IN; his siblings, Steven Rice (Beverly) of Davenport, IA, Glen Rice of Swanwick, IL, Kenneth Rice (Debbie) of Davenport, IA and Linda Polo (Tim) of South Carolina; and his sister-in-law Joanne Hepp of Pinckneyville, IL. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
