He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Turpin and Gertrude "Trudy" Turpin (Byerly); his son Jim Turpin; and his great grandchild Brycen Turpin. He is survived by: his wife Fern Turpin (Klingenberg) of Pinckneyville, IL; his son Tom Turpin (Donna) of Chaffee, MO; his stepchildren, June Malone (Roy) of Scottsboro, AL and Chris Spenner (Tammy) of Noble, IL; his sister Judy Horth (Dick) of St. Petersburg, FL; his grandchildren, Ashley Fewell, Jake Turpin (Karissa), Matt Turpin (Sarah), Wil Malone, Madison Malone (Chris Hapstack), Christopher Spenner (Melissa), Christan Spenner (Kaytlyn) and Nicholas Spenner; his great grandchildren, Everly Mae, Maggie Faye Turpin, Christopher Luke Spenner, Meritt, Indie Spenner, Brayden Jean, Anderson Springer, Dominick Danbury, Maci and Wesley Prewitt; his niece Julie Rothfeld of St. Petersburg, FL; and his nephew Bob Horth.
