He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Carlson and Ethel Carlson (LeRoy); his sisters, Eleanor Corstange and Diane Holmes; and his stepbrother Jerry Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Carlson of Pinckneyville, IL; his children, Richard Carlson (Christine) of Lake St, Jim Carlson (Cheryl) of DuQuoin, IL, Debbie Mulkins (Brad) of DuQuoin, IL and Diane Williams (Rick) of DuQuoin, IL; and his stepbrother Bob Ellis of Jamestown, NY. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL.
