He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Beck and Hulda Beck (Caupert); his brothers, Arnold and George Beck; and his niece Elaine Sanders.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Mathis of Pinckneyville, IL; his sister Lillian Sternberg of Steeleville, IL; his nephew Scott Sternberg (Vickey) of Steeleville, IL; his great-niece Dawn Booker (Kenneth) of Red Bud, IL; and his great-nephews, Christopher Sternberg (Hilary) of Red Bud, IL and Brandon Sternberg of Steeleville, IL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church.
